What is Our Project Know-how Panorama™?

It’s an Overview Of Every Construct, Post, and Video on This Blog – And…

Our Platform for Early Career Professionals Navigating Their Careers

Our Project Know-how Panorama™ is the big picture of project know-how – global, and yours, if you like.

It is a digital canvas that Cogent Language has designed to enable early career individuals to grow their own project know-how. The seeds of this know-how are the “project constructs” – the processes, methods, and techniques – that this blogs posts on. Both blog and panorama organize constructs by project team purpose and by global communities of project practice.

If you are early in your career, you can use the panorama, along with this blog, for self-directed, visual, double-loop learning, based on your own project experience. At the center of the panorama are the same “project constructs” that this blog is all about. Organized by communities of practice and project team purposes, these constructs are then explained in playlists of short videos. Here is an example post on the construct “Product Backlog”. As can be seen from it, the community of practice here is “agile” and the project team purpose is “Modeling Development.”

Setting out 80+ constructs, the whole panorama is huge, so huge, technically, that it is hosted on the infinite canvas platform Mural®.  While similar to canvases such as Strategyzer’s Value Proposition Canvas®, used in start-ups, and to the big visual charts (BVC) used by agile teams, our panorama is designed for individuals. It is for those wishing to develop project know-how early in their careers, and then to grow it by a practice of continuous improvement. Specifically, it is for those looking for a practice rooted in their real worlds, and in the whole world.  It is best understood as a gigantic visual model supporting life-long, double-loop learning of practical project know-how – a Kanban board for a whole career.

Cogent Language will offer two ways to grow your own project know-how via the panorama:
